During his engineering days at Delhi College of Engineering, Sushant joined Shiamak Davar's dance classes and, because of his impressive moves, soon became a background dancer for the choreographer's troupe.
His acting career began on television, and he became a household name after playing the role of Manav in the TV series "Pavitra Rishta" (2009) on Zee TV. He also appeared in two other soap operas and two dance reality shows during his active onscreen career of 12 years.
Sushant Singh made his Bollywood debut with "Kai Po Che" in 2013, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, which was adapted from Chetan Bhagat's novel "The 3 Mistakes of My Life". He launched himself to soaring heights in the film industry thereafter, starring in nearly a dozen films across diverse genres.
His notable film roles included appearances in "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" (2016), "Chhichhore," and "Dil Bechara" (2020). Throughout his career, he won a huge fan following who remembered him for his diverse characters in projects across genres.
The late actor overcame personal hardships, including the loss of his mother in 2002, before moving to Delhi for his engineering studies and eventually dedicating himself fully to acting.
