Sonam Bajwa, born as Sonampreet Kaur Bajwa on August 16, 1989, hails from Nanakmatta, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, India. She was born into a Sikh family, with both her parents working as teachers. She has a twin brother named Jaideep Bajwa.

Sonam's journey into the world of glamour began when she participated in the Femina Miss India beauty pageant in 2012. Although she didn't win the title, she was one of the finalists, which opened doors for her in the film industry.

She made her acting debut in the Punjabi film "Best of Luck" in 2013, playing the role of 'Simran'. She then made her Tamil film debut with "Kappal" in 2014. Her Telugu film debut came in 2016 with "Aatadukundam Raa". She has worked in many popular Punjabi films like "Nikka Zaildar," "Manje Bistre," "Carry on Jatta 2," "Guddiyan Patole," and "Muklawa". In 2019, she made her Bollywood debut with the film "Bala" by making a special appearance in the song 'Naah Goriye'.
