Pranitha Subhash

Pranitha Subhash (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress and model who works predominantly in South Indian cinema, including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films, with occasional appearances in Hindi movies.

She was born in Bangalore (Bengaluru), Karnataka, India, and is the only child of Jayashri, a gynecologist, and Subhash, a physician, who run a hospital in Bangalore.

She began her acting career in 2010 with the Kannada film Porki, a remake of the Telugu film Pokiri, where she starred opposite Darshan.

She also appeared in the Telugu film Em Pillo Em Pillado in the same year, marking her debut in Telugu cinema. Her Tamil debut came with the film Udhayan in 2011. She gained significant popularity after starring in several commercially successful films, including Baava (2010), Attarintiki Daredi (2013), Massu Engira Masilamani (2015) opposite Suriya, and Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal (2017) opposite Jai.

In 2012, she acted in the Kannada film Bheema Theeradalli, which received critical acclaim. She is also known for her role in Brahma (2014).

In 2021, she made her debut in Hindi cinema with two films: Hungama 2 and Bhuj: The Pride of India. Throughout her career, she has amassed more than 30 acting credits across multiple language industries. She has received recognition for her performances, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in Kannada and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Pranitha Subhash married businessman Nitin Raju on 30 May 2021. The couple has two children together, including a daughter. She is Hindu by religion and is known to be a vegetarian, teetotaler, cinephile, and social entrepreneur.
