Prachi Shah

Prachee Shah Paandya, also known as Prachi Shah, is an Indian actress and Kathak dancer who appears in Hindi and Gujarati films and television. She is best known for her role as Pooja Hemant Virani in Ekta Kapoor's television series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Prachee Shah was born on December 12, 1979, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She began learning Kathak dance from the age of three and made her first performance at the age of five.

Her Kathak guru was Ganesh Giri Lal, and she has won more than 100 awards for her dancing. Notably, she became the first Kathak dancer to set a Guinness World Record of 93 spins in one minute.

She started her acting career through modeling before transitioning to television. She made her television serial debut in Kundali as Vidhi Viraj Agarwal. She also gained recognition for her role as Kalindi Avdhoot in Ek Baar Phir. Her huge fame came from playing Pooja Hemant Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Her other notable television appearances include Piya Ka Ghar (2002–2006), Kesar (2005–2007), Kayamath (2007–2009), Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam (2009), Kahin Diyaa Jale Kahin Jiyaa (2002), and Ek Shringaar-Swabhiman (2016). She also anchored the show Rangoli.

In films, she made her debut in the 2000 blockbuster Hey Ram. Her subsequent film appearances include Haunted 3D, Isi Life Mein (2010), Raja Natwarlal, Student of the Year, Aakash Vani, ABCD 2, and Mulk (2018). She is also known for Laxmii (2020).

She married actor-producer Vishwas Pandya, son of Jayendra Pandya, on December 9, 2005. She has a daughter named Khiana. She appears in both Hindi and Gujarati films and television productions.
