Vishnu Vishal

Vishnu Vishal (born Vishal Kudawla on July 17, 1984, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India) is an Indian actor and film producer who works primarily in the Tamil film industry.

He is the son of Ramesh Kudawla, a distinguished Tamil Nadu police officer who served as ADGP. He completed his schooling at Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School in Tiruchirappalli and later pursued an MBA in Marketing and Brand Management at SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai.

Before entering cinema, Vishnu Vishal was an aspiring cricketer who played TNCA league games after completing his MBA.

He became a professional cricketer following his graduation from SRM University, but a career-ending injury forced him to reconsider his path. This prompted his transition to acting, where he quickly found success.

Vishnu Vishal made his acting debut in 2009 with the Tamil sports film "Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu," in which he played the lead role. The film centered on the traditional sport of kabaddi, and his performance received widespread appreciation and earned him a Vijay Award nomination.

He gained further acclaim for his 2012 role in "Neerparavai" (also spelled "Neer Paravai"), where he portrayed a fisherman, earning a SIIMA Award nomination. In 2010, he gained significant weight for his role as Karunakaran in the film "Drohi".

His career reached a major milestone with the 2018 psychological thriller "Ratsasan," which rose him to fame and is considered one of his most notable works. The film is widely regarded as one of the best Tamil thriller films of recent years. Beyond acting, he also ventured into film production, establishing himself as a successful producer in the Tamil industry.

Vishnu Vishal married doubles badminton player Jwala Gutta in 2021, and they have been married since. Some sources also mention him marrying Rajini Natraj before adopting his stage name.
