Sanjay Balraj Dutt, born on July 29, 1959, is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi cinema. Born to veteran Hindi film actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis, Dutt made his acting debut in 1981 with the film 'Rocky', directed by his father. Despite a series of box office flops, his career took a turn for the better with the crime thriller film 'Naam' in 1986.

Sanjay Dutt has acted in over 135 films, spanning various genres from romance to comedy, but is most popular for his roles in action genres.

Some of his notable films include 'Saajan' (1991), 'Sadak' (1991), 'Khalnayak' (1993), 'Vaastav: The Reality' (1999), and 'Mission Kashmir' (2000). His portrayal of Munna Bhai in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Munna Bhai' series (2003–2006) is considered his most iconic role. His recent works include 'K.G.F: Chapter 2' (2022) and the Tamil film 'Leo' (2023), where he played the main antagonist.

Since 2008, he has been happily married to actress Maanayata Dutt, and the couple has twins together.
