Riyaz Khan

Riyaz Ahmed Khan, known professionally as Riyaz Khan, is an Indian actor and former bodybuilder born on September 9, 1972, in Fort Kochi, Kochi, Kerala, India.

He belongs to a Muslim family and is of Indian nationality. Riyaz Khan predominantly works in Tamil and Malayalam cinema and television, while also appearing in select Telugu, Kannada, and two Hindi films.

Before entering films, Riyaz Khan was a dedicated bodybuilder, and he continues to be passionate about fitness. He is the brand ambassador of Inshape Health & Fitness, a Chennai-based fitness studio.

His physical attributes include an approximate height of 5'7" (170 cm), weight of 75 kg (165 lbs), chest measurement of 42 inches, waist of 32 inches, and biceps of 15 inches.

Riyaz Khan began his acting career in 1991 with the Telugu film "Madhuranagarilo," though his debut did not bring immediate recognition. He gained recognition through the 1993 Tamil film "Athma". His Malayalam debut came in 1994 with "Sukham Sukhakaram," directed by Balachandra Menon, which marked the beginning of his successful career in South Indian cinema.

Over the years, he has starred in more than 50 Malayalam films and more than 100 films across Tamil and Malayalam cinema combined.

Throughout his career, Riyaz Khan has been noted for portraying mostly negative and strong character roles, including detectives and bodybuilders. Some of his notable films include "Badri," "Bubba," "Ramanaa," "Bayleton," "Winner," "Runway," "Power of Women," "Gay Genie," "Therpathy," and "Stalin". He also appeared in the Tamil film "Ghajini" (2008) and the recent "Ponniyin Selvan: Part I" (2022).

In television, he acted in the serial "Nandini," which was aired on Sun TV.

Riyaz Khan is married to Uma Riyaz Khan, and they have two children named Shurik Hassan and Samarth Hassan.
