Raj Kapoor (1924-1988) was an Indian film actor, producer, and director. He was one of the most influential figures in the history of Indian cinema, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers in the country's history.
Raj Kapoor began his career as a child actor in the 1930s, appearing in several films before establishing himself as a leading man in the 1940s. He founded his own production company, R.K. Films, in 1948, and went on to produce and direct a series of critically acclaimed and commercially successful films over the next several decades.
