Born in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, to a railway employee and a professor, Aadesh Shrivastava was introduced to music at a young age. He initially worked as a drummer for renowned music composers like R. D. Burman and Rajesh Roshan before independently working as a music director. His first big break came with the film 'Kanyadaan' in 1993.

Aadesh Shrivastava led a simple lifestyle, focusing on his passion for music. After his first diagnosis of cancer in 2011, he altered his lifestyle, practicing yoga, and maintaining a healthy diet. Despite facing financial troubles due to heavy medical bills, he remained resilient and continued to create music.
