Aditi Pant

Aditi Pant was born in Nagpur on 5 July 1943. Sources describe her as having developed an early interest in science and exploration, which later shaped her academic and professional path.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pune. She later received a scholarship from the U.S. government for a master’s degree in marine sciences at the University of Hawaii, and she went on to earn a doctorate from the University of London, with research focused on marine algae physiology.
