Boney Kapoor (born Achal Surinder Kapoor on November 11, 1955) is a prominent Indian film producer primarily associated with Hindi cinema, in addition to producing films in Tamil and Telugu industries.
He was born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India, into a Punjabi Khatri family of filmmakers who migrated from Peshawar, Pakistan. He is the son of late Surinder Kapoor, a renowned Bollywood film producer, and has two brothers, actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor.
Boney Kapoor started his career working under legendary filmmakers like Shakti Samanta before establishing himself as an independent producer. He is the founder of the production company Narsimha Enterprises and has been active in the film industry since 1980.

His most famous and celebrated film remains the Shekhar Kapur-directed sci-fi blockbuster "Mr. India" (1987), starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi, which was the second biggest hit of 1987 and remains a cult classic in India. The film is renowned for several iconic lines and songs, including Sridevi's "Miss Hawa Hawaii" performance and Amrish Puri's famous quote "Mogambo khush hua" (Mogambo is pleased), one of Bollywood's most synonymous quotes.
