Gulshan Devaiah (born 28 May 1978) is an acclaimed Indian actor known for his compelling performances in Hindi cinema and his distinctive choice of bold, unconventional roles across diverse genres.
Born in Bengaluru, Karnataka, into a Kodava family, he is the son of Sri Devaiah and Pushpalata, both of whom worked at Bharat Electronics Ltd.
He attended Cluny Convent High School and St. Joseph's Indian High School in Bengaluru before graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) with a degree in fashion designing.

Before entering the film industry, he spent ten years working as a fashion designer, having worked with renowned figures such as Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the fashion world. His passion for acting developed through minor roles in Bengaluru's English theater, where he performed in various dramas and honed his skills.
He made his acting debut in 2010 with Anurag Kashyap's neo-noir thriller "That Girl in Yellow Boots", which starred Kalki Koechlin and was screened at prestigious festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival and Venice Film Festival.
His career truly gained momentum with his role as Karan Chaudhary in "Shaitan" (2011), a performance that earned him critical acclaim and multiple award nominations, including a Filmfare nomination.
The following year, he portrayed the charismatic antagonist Siddharth Dhanrajgir in "The Hate Story" (2012), which marked a turning point in his career and showcased his ability to embody complex characters. He continued to explore diverse genres, appearing in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic tragedy "Beqadhar Pyaar" (Ram-Leela) (2013), the adult comedy "Hunterrr" (2015) where he played Mandar Ponkshe, and the psychological thriller "A Death in the Gunj" (2017).
In recent years, he has successfully transitioned into web series and OTT content, becoming a prominent figure in the digital space. He appeared in notable series such as "Smoke" (2018), "Afsos" (2020), "Duranga" (2022), and "Shiksha Mandal" (2022).
