Geeta Kapur (Geeta Kapoor) is an Indian choreographer and television personality born on July 5, 1973, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is widely recognized for her choreography in Bollywood films and for her long-running role as a judge on popular Indian dance reality shows.

Geeta Kapur began her journey in dance at the age of 15 when she joined renowned choreographer Farah Khan's dance group. She started her career by assisting Farah Khan in creating iconic dance sequences for Bollywood films, including breakthrough work on "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995).

Initially, she established her own dance academy before becoming a lead choreographer.

As a Bollywood choreographer, she has created dance sequences for over two decades in numerous films. Her notable film choreography includes "Fiza" (2000), "Asoka" (2001), "Saathiya" (2002), "Heyy Babyy" (2007), "Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic" (2008), "Aladin" (2009), "Tees Maar Khan" (2010), "Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya" (2011), and "Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi" (2012).

She is particularly famous for choreographing the chart-topping song "Sheila Ki Jawani" from "Tees Maar Khan". Her filmography also includes "Happy New Year" (2014). Beyond films, she has choreographed award ceremonies, concerts including Temptation Reloaded, and the opening ceremony of Pepsi IPL 2013.

Geeta Kapur debuted as a television judge in 2008 with "Dance India Dance" (Season 2), after which she permanently shifted her focus to television. She has judged more than 14 dance reality shows, including "Dance India Dance" (2009–2015), "Super Dancer" (2016–present), "DID Lil Masters," "DID Doubles," "Dance Ke Super Kids," "India's Best Dancer" (2020 to present), and "India Ke Mast Kalandar".

On these shows, she is affectionately known as "Geeta Maa" for her compassionate, encouraging, and bubbly personality. The name "Geeta Maa" was given to her by choreographer Feroz Khan during her modelling days when she treated him like a child.

She has appeared as a background dancer in several Bollywood movies including "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (1998, in the song "Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aaye"), "Kal Ho Naa Ho," "Main Hoon Na," "Nayak," and "Om Shanti Om". Her favorite actors include Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Gerard Butler, Madhuri Dixit, Priyanka Chopra, and Vidya Balan.
