Navjot Kaur Sidhu

Navjot Kaur Sidhu (born 15 June 1963) is an Indian politician and former member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly.

She was elected to the assembly in 2012 from the Amritsar East constituency as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Following her election, she was appointed Chief Parliamentary Secretary in the Punjab government.

Before entering politics, Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu was a doctor by profession. She served as a gynaecologist at Govt. Rajindra Hospital in Patiala (also associated with Rajindra Medical College and Hospital) and resigned from her position in January 2012 to join the political arena.

She is married to Navjot Singh Sidhu, a former Indian cricketer who later became a politician and Congress leader. The couple has two children: a son named Karan and a daughter named Rabia. Her birthplace is Ludhiana, Punjab, India.

In April 2026, two months after being expelled from the Punjab Congress party, Navjot Kaur Sidhu announced the launch of a new political outfit called the Bharatiya Rashtrawadi Party. She also declared that she will contest the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections on a ticket from this new party.
