Tara D'Souza

Tara Concepta D’Souza was born on 20 December 1986 in Hyderabad, Telangana, to Konkani parents Andreas and Diane D’Souza.

She grew up in Hyderabad and attended Vidyaranya High School, a school influenced by the teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti, before moving on to college where she began pursuing modeling opportunities.

While in college, she pursued modeling and appeared in commercials and fashion assignments, becoming widely known after being selected as a Kingfisher Calendar model following the Kingfisher Calendar Model Hunt. Her modeling work helped her transition into film, raising her public profile ahead of her mainstream Bollywood appearances.

Tara D'Souza made her film debut in the regional comedy The Angrez (2005), a Tollywood release that saw localized success in parts of Hyderabad but did not bring her wide recognition because of its limited release.
