Tanushree started her career as a model and won the Femina Miss India Universe title in 2004. She represented India at the Miss Universe 2004 pageant in Ecuador, where she was placed among the top ten finalists.

Her Bollywood debut came in 2005 with the film "Chocolate," and she gained fame with the box office success "Aashiq Banaya Aapne" in the same year. She also ventured into Tamil Cinema with "Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai". Her filmography includes notable films like "Bhagam Bhag," "Dhol," "Risk," and others. Her last movie was in 2013 when she starred in "Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath".

Tanushree Dutta is known for her holistic lifestyle. She follows a diet of low carbs, low sugar, no gluten, soups, juices, and salads. She also practices intermittent fasting, yoga, swimming, and takes dance classes. She is a devotee of Shiva and starts her week with a full day Monday fast.
