Tahira Kochhar

Tahira Kochhar is an Indian actress and former model best known for her Bollywood debut in Rabba Main Kya Karoon.

She was born on 31 January 1990 in New Delhi, to Komal Kochhar, a teacher, and Gopal Kochhar, who ran an advertising, marketing, and real estate agency.

She grew up in Delhi and studied at Vasant Valley School before graduating from The British School with an International Baccalaureate diploma.

Before entering films, she began her career in modeling during her college years, working on editorial shoots, ad films, and magazine assignments in Delhi.

She also became the face of J.J. Vallaya’s Grand Finale poster and press ads and walked the ramp for the label at WIFW. Her work in modeling helped her gain recognition as a Delhi ramp model, and she was later selected as a finalist for Femina Miss India 2010.

She had long wanted to become an actor, and in 2011 she was approached for an audition for the female lead in Rabba Main Kya Karoon. After auditioning in Delhi, she won the role and made her film debut opposite Arshad Warsi, with Paresh Rawal and Raj Babbar also part of the cast.
