Sanghavi

Sanghavi (born Kavya Ramesh on October 4, 1977, in Mysore, Karnataka, India) is a former Indian actress and model who worked predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema, with additional roles in Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films.

She was one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema from 1993 to 2004, starring in over 95 feature films across her 15-year career—38 in Telugu, 35 in Tamil, eight in Kannada, two in Malayalam, and one in Hindi.

Sanghavi was born into a medical family; her father was a professor and Head of Department in E.N.T. (Ear, Nose, and Throat) at Mysore Medical College. She completed her schooling at Marimallappa School in Mysore.

Her grandmother's sister is the renowned Kannada film actress Aarathi, making Sanghavi Aarathi's niece. She initially played small roles in Kannada films before making her entry as a lead actress in the Telugu movie "Kokkoroko," after which she changed her screen name from Kavya Ramesh to Sanghavi.

Her film debut occurred in 1993 at the age of 16 in "Amravati," which was also actor Ajith's first film. Among her notable works are "Mrugaraaju" (2001), "Vishnu" (1995), and "Mannava" (1997). She famously paired with actor Ilathalapathy Vijay for four movies: "Rasigan," "Vishnu," "Coimbatore Mappillai," and "Nilaave Vaa".

After spending 22 years in cinema without marrying, Sanghavi married IT businessman N. Venkatesh on February 3, 2016, at Taj Vivanta in Bengaluru. She now has one daughter.
