Samvrutha Sunil

Samvrutha Sunil (also known as Samvritha) is a former Indian film actress who primarily appeared in Malayalam cinema.

She was born on October 31, 1986, in Kannur, Kerala, India. With her striking good looks, traditional Malayalee appearance, and natural acting ability, she became one of Malayalam film industry's most beautiful and successful actresses during the 2000s.

She made her screen debut in 2004 with Lal Jose's film "Rasikan," where she played opposite actor Dileep. Although "Rasikan" was not a great commercial success, it helped her gain recognition in the industry.

Before her debut as a lead actress, she had appeared as a junior artist in the film "Ayal Kadha Ezhuthukayanu". Following her debut, she appeared in films such as "Nerariyan CBI" (2005) and "Chandrolsavam" (2005), though her characters were not very prominent in these movies.

Her career gained significant momentum with Lal Jose's "Achanurangatha Veedu" and the film "Nottam," which proved very lucky for her. She became more popular and widely accepted by audiences after her performance in the song sequence "Pachappanamthathe" from "Nottam," sung by K. J. Yesudas and K. S. Chitra.

Throughout her career, she starred in over 40 to 47 Malayalam films, along with one film each in Telugu and Tamil languages.

She also appeared in films such as "Pothan Vava" (2006), "Neelathamara" (2009), "Ivar Vivahitharayal...?" (2009), "The King and the Commissioner" (2012), and "Sathyam Paranja Viswasikkuvo" (2019).

Samvrutha Sunil was known mononymously as Samvrutha and was recognized for her natural acting style and girl-next-door roles throughout the 2000s.

After taking a hiatus of six years fromFilms, she made her comeback through the television show "Nayika Nayakan". She is considered a former actress, having mainly appeared in Malayalam films during her active career years.
