Sai Tamhankar is an Indian actress born on June 25, 1986, in Sangli, Maharashtra, known for her versatile performances in Marathi and Hindi film and television.

She is a commerce graduate from Chintaman College of Commerce in Sangli and first discovered her interest in acting while performing in college plays. Her performance in the play "Adhure Adhure" won her the Best Actor Award at an inter-college theater competition, which prompted her to pursue acting professionally.

Before entering films, she was a state-level kabaddi player and holds an orange belt in karate. She made her on-screen debut in 2008 with Subhash Ghai's crime thriller "Black & White," marking her Bollywood entrance.

Her first major break came from the Marathi television serial "Ya Gojirvanya Gharat," which aired on ETV Marathi and brought her initial recognition. She subsequently appeared in other Marathi TV serials including "Agni Shikha," "Sathi Re," and "Kasturi".

She also made her Marathi cinema debut with "Sunny Day" in 2008 and later worked in Amir Khan's "Tarajini".

The year 2015 marked a turning point in her career when she achieved mainstream success with her role in the comedy romance "Hunterrr". She went on to win a Filmfare Award Marathi for Best Supporting Actress for the film "Family Katta" in 2018. Her notable filmography includes roles in "Vazandar" (2016), "Jaundya Na Balasaheb" (2016), "Mimi" (2022), and "Bhakshak" (2025).

She has received several awards including a Filmfare Award and three Filmfare Marathi Awards for her performances.
