Sai Pallavi (full name Sai Pallavi Senthamarai Kannan) is an acclaimed Indian film actress and dancer who predominantly works in Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil cinema.

She was born on May 9, 1992, in Kotagiri, Tamil Nadu, India, and raised in Coimbatore, where she completed her schooling at St. Avila Convent. Her father, Senthamara Kannan, is a central excise officer, and her mother, Radha Kannan, is a homemaker; the family belongs to the Hindu community.

She is uniquely qualified as both an actress and a physician, having studied medicine at Tbilisi State Medical University and graduating in 2016.

From a very young age, she trained in classical dance forms including Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, which laid the foundation for her expressive performance style. Her dance talent was evident early, as she participated in the dance reality show "Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva" on Vijay TV in 2008 and later appeared on the "Dhee Ultimate Dance Show" on ETV Telugu.

Her acting career began with a brief appearance as a junior artist in the 2005 film "Kasthuri Maan," where she played a college girl. She gained widespread prominence through her breakthrough role as Malar in the 2015 Malayalam film "Premam," directed by Alphonse Puthren, which became a blockbuster and established her as a talented newcomer.

In this role, she captivated audiences with her natural grace and became particularly known for portraying the character across different age periods. Following "Premam," she appeared opposite Dulquer Salmaan in the 2016 Malayalam film "Kali," which received positive reviews as a hit.

Her Telugu debut came in 2017 with the romantic film "Fidaa" (also spelled "Fida"), where she played Bhanumati alongside Varun Tej in a role that became a blockbuster and earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debutant in Telugu.

That same year, she appeared in "Middle Class Abbayi," another blockbuster that further solidified her position in the Telugu film industry. She continued her success with notable films including "Maari 2" (2018, Supr-Hit), "Padi Padi Leche Manasu" (2018, Hit), and "Athiran" (2019, Hit).

Her career reached new heights with several super-hit and blockbuster films in the 2020s, including "Love Story" (2021), "Shyam Singha Roy" (2021), "Gargi" (2022, Blockbuster), "Amaran" (2024, Blockbuster), and "Thandel" (2024, Blockbuster). She also appeared in the Netflix TV series "Paava Kadhaigal" in 2020.
