Sandhya Mridul

Sandhya Mridul is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films and television. She was born on March 28, 1975, in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra, India.

Called "Sandy" by friends and family, she is the daughter of lawyer P.R. Mridul and his wife. Although born in Mumbai, her parents moved to Delhi when she was an infant.

She graduated in mathematics from Lady Sriram College in Delhi and later worked in a corporate firm in Mumbai before pursuing acting. She began her acting career in 1995, starting with television roles. Her debut television show was Swabhimaan, followed by appearances in Banegi Apni Baat, Koshish, and Ashirwad.

She gained widespread recognition for her roles in Hindi cinema, particularly in Saathiya (2002) and Page 3 (2005), which became her most prominent films.

Saathiya marked her film debut. She also appeared in other notable films including Socha Na Tha (2005), Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007), Force (2011), and Angry Indian Goddesses. Her later work includes the television series Mentalhood (2020).

In 2007, Sandhya Mridul was the first runner-up on the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Season 2). She has been recognized for her versatile acting across both television and film, carving out a niche as a versatile actress in the Indian entertainment industry.
