Sandeepa Dhar is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Hindi films and web series. She was born on February 2, 1989, in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, into a Kashmiri Pandit family.

Sandeepa Dhar completed her early schooling at St. Michael's Convent in Mankapur, a small town in the Gonda District of Uttar Pradesh, before attending National Public School in Bengaluru for her later schooling. She graduated in advertising from the prestigious St. Xavier's College in Mumbai.

She is a professionally trained dancer with extensive training in multiple dance forms. She trained in Bharatanatyam for eight years under the renowned Vani Ganpati and spent four years learning Jazz and Contemporary dance from Shiamak Davar and Terence Lewis.

Having won several awards for her dancing, she also participated in reality dance shows and showcased her talent on stage.

Sandeepa Dhar made her acting debut in Bollywood with the 2010 Hindi film Isi Life Mein, where she played the lead role of Rajnandini, a young girl. Her performance in the film was widely appreciated, earning her a Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow – Female.

For this debut role, she was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, the Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer, and the Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow.

Following her debut, she appeared in several notable films including Dabangg 2 (2012), in which she performed a cameo role. She received critical acclaim for her brief but effective performance in Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti (2014). She also starred in Baar Baar Dekho (2016), showcasing her acting versatility.

In addition to films, Sandeepa Dhar has expanded her presence into digital content through web series. She appeared in the investigative thriller series Abhay and Mum Bhai. She also received critical acclaim for her role in Global Baba. For her role as a Mumbai cop in Saurabh Varma's investigative thriller 7 Hours To Go!, she trained in MMA for six months.
