Ritika Singh

Ritika Singh is an Indian actress and mixed martial artist who predominantly appears in Tamil films and has also appeared in Hindi and Telugu films. She was born on December 16, 1994, in Thane, Maharashtra, India (sometimes reported as Mumbai).

Her early life was marked by her passion for sports, particularly kickboxing and mixed martial arts. Under the guidance of her father, she learned kickboxing and mixed martial arts and made her first appearance as a national athlete at the 2009 Asian Indoor Games in the 52 kg category as a kick-boxer.

Following this achievement, she competed in the inaugural season of the mixed martial arts league Super Fight League in 2012. She studied at the K.C. Gandhi English School in Kalyan.

Having featured in an advertisement for the Super Fight League, she was noticed by director Sudha Kongara Prasad, who offered her a role in his 2016 sports drama.

She made her acting debut with the bilingual sports drama "Irudhi Suttru" (Tamil) and "Saala Khadoos" (Hindi), released in 2016, opposite R. Madhavan. For her performance in the Tamil version of her debut film, she received a Special Mention at the 63rd National Film Awards.

Following her breakthrough, she appeared in several Tamil films including the 2016 Tamil satirical movie and other projects such as "Guru" and "Bench Life".
