Rimi Tomy

Rimi Tomy (born Rimi Tomy Kizhakoodan; September 22, 1983) is an Indian playback singer, television host, and actress who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. She was born in Pala, a town in central Kerala’s Kottayam district, to Tomy Joseph and Rani, a Syro-Malabar-Nasrani family.

Rimi Tomy began her career anchoring music programs on television. Her debut as a playback singer came with the 2002 Lal Jose-directed film Meesa Madhavan, where she sang her first solo song, “Chingamasam Vannu Chernnal”.

Since then, she has recorded more than 100 songs for films, as well as for albums and stage programs performed worldwide. Her voice is noted for its power and soulful quality, and she has become one of Kerala’s most celebrated female playback singers.

Among her notable film contributions is her acclaimed work in the 2013 film 5 Sundarikal.
