Rashi Mal is an Indian actress, dancer, and musician born and raised in Delhi. Though no one in her family came from an artistic background, she developed a strong penchant for performing arts from childhood and has been singing, dancing, and acting since a very early age.
She studied to become an IT engineer, earning a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology, but ultimately chose to pursue her passion for the performing arts instead.
She began her career on stage, working extensively in street plays and theatre shows before transitioning to screen work.

She is trained in method acting, having studied at The Jeff Goldberg Studio in Mumbai, and also holds a diploma in method acting from The Jeff Goldberg Studio. Her formal training in the arts includes a diploma in Film Making from the New York Film Academy, a diploma in musical theatre at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, and songwriting training at Berklee College of Music in the United States.
She trained in music with Deirdre Lobo, a vocal coach based in California, and currently trains with Samantha Edwards.
As a dancer, she is professionally trained and was part of Ashley Lobo's dance company, where she started her career as a choreographer at Lobo's Academy.
She has trained in multiple dance styles including Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Hip hop, and Bollywood. She choreographed several songs for academy students before quitting that job to move to America for further studies.
She made her Hindi film debut in 2018 with Helicopter Eela, starring alongside Kajol and Riddhi Sen. She played a pivotal role in the 2018 film Sir, which won the GAN Foundation award at the Cannes Film Festival.
She is also known for her role as Gauri Laada in the mini-series Paanch 5 Wrongs Make A Right on Channel V. Her notable film work includes Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, where she appeared alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
In television and web series, she has worked across multiple platforms including Eros, Hotstar, and MTV. Her web series include Boygiri, Hindmata, A.I.SHA – My Virtual Girlfriend, and Time Out, while her TV shows include MTV Crush, MTV Rush, and Love By Chance. She also worked as a writer for Disney Channel, writing scripts for cartoon characters and directing short films and plays.
She is equally passionate about music alongside her acting career. She sang for the film Dear Maya starring Manisha Koiraia and wrote and sang parodies with Vasuda Sharma for the parody band Sachhi Savitris.
Her musical debut as a singer, songwriter, and composer came with Rashionality: Chapter 1, an EP featuring three tracks on Hoopr Original 2024. The EP includes "Chalo," an anthem of self-love and resilience; "Yoon Hi," celebrating love and companionship; and "Naariyan," a motivational anthem for women's empowerment. She is currently working on her original music.
She trained in theatre workshops and plays before her formal method acting training, and after working in numerous stage shows and theatre, she started giving auditions. Following a long period of struggle in the industry, she eventually got her role in MTV Crush and continued building her career across various platforms.
She has expressed that she prefers films and web over TV because of the kind of work happening in those mediums.
