Ramya Barna

Ramya Barna (born August 4, 1986) is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Kannada cinema. She was born in the Coorg district of Karnataka, India.

Her father serves as an Assistant General Manager at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). She completed her schooling in both Bangalore and Mumbai. She earned her bachelor's degree in Travel and Tourism from Jyoti Nivas College in Bangalore.

Before entering the film industry, she worked for a year at Wipro's BPO in Navi Mumbai as a customer service executive. She was also pursuing an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University parallel to her cinema career around 2010.

She stated that she never dreamed of becoming an actress. She initially refused an offer from a producer but her friends encouraged her to step into the industry.

She accepted her first role as the second heroine in the Kannada film Hani Hani, which was released in 2008. Her career as an actress began while she was still pursuing her degree. She made her debut as a supporting artiste in Hani Hani and later acted in Neenyare, directed by Sindesh.

She is known for several Kannada films including Hudugaru (2011), Lifeu Ishtene (2011), and Paramathma (2011). She also appeared in Neenyare (2008). Beyond Kannada cinema, she has made appearances in Tamil and Telugu films. She also participated in an artistic film in the Tulu language.

Ramya Barna married businessman Fahaad on May 29, 2017. Fahaad is a well-known businessman.
