Rakul Preet Singh is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil films. She was born on October 10, 1990, in New Delhi, India, to Rajender Singh, an Army officer, and Kulwinder Singh.

Growing up in Army cantonments across India, she moved frequently and changed ten schools during her childhood. She studied at Army Public School and later earned a degree in mathematics from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.

She began her career as a model during college days, participating in various beauty pageants. She won the title of Femina Miss India People's Choice in 2011.

She made her acting debut in the Kannada film industry with the movie "Gilli" in 2009, which was based on Selvaraghavan's film "7th Geo Rainbow Colony". However, she gained prominence with her role in the Telugu film "Venkatadri Express" in 2013.

Following her breakthrough, she appeared in several successful Telugu films including "Loukyam" (2014), "Nannaku Prematho" (2016), "Sarrainodu" (2016), "Dhruva" (2016), "Spyder" (2017), and "Jaya Janaki Nayaka" (2017).

She also appeared in Tamil films such as "Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru" (2017). In Bollywood, she debuted with "Yaariyan" (2014) and subsequently appeared in films including "De De Pyaar De" (2019), "Aiyaary" (2018), "Doctor G" (2022), "Runway 34" (2022), "Thank God" (2022), "Cuttputlli" (2022), and "Attack" (2022). Her recent films include "Chhatriwali" (2023), "Indian 2" (2024), and "Ayalaan" (2024).

Rakul Preet Singh has won several awards, including a South Indian International Movie Award, and has received four nominations at the Filmfare Awards South.

Apart from acting, she is an active philanthropist who endorses various brands. She is a fitness enthusiast who practices yoga regularly and maintains a strong social media presence. She has been in a relationship with Jackie Begnani since 2021. Her younger brother, Amanpreet Singh, is set to make his Bollywood debut with the film "Ram Rajya".
