Ragini Khanna

Ragini Khanna (born 9 December 1987) is an Indian film and television actress, model, comedian, singer, and television host who works primarily in Hindi-language films and TV serials.

She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to Praveen Khanna and Kamini Khanna, with her mother being a writer, music director, singer, anchor, and founder of "Beauty with Astrology".

She is the granddaughter of classical singer Nirmala Devi and popular 1940s actor Arun Ahuja, and she is also the niece of Bollywood actor Govinda and the cousin of actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek, TV actress Aarti Singh, and TV actress Soumya Seth.

She made her acting debut in 2008 with the daily soap opera "Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi" on NDTV Imagine, where she played the character "Ragini Sharma". She first rose to prominence when she played the titular role of Bharti in the comedy-drama series "Bhaskar Bharti," which became one of her most notable television credits.

Her other significant television appearances include "Sasural Genda Phool" (2010), where she played Suhana Kashyap in the main role, "Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai," and the reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa".

Her Bollywood film debut came in 2011 with the comedy "Teen Thay Bhai," directed by Omprakash Mehra. In 2013, she worked in the Punjabi film "Bhaji in Problem," and in 2014, she appeared in another Punjabi comedy "Double Di Trouble".

She later took on more courageous and unconventional roles in Hindi films, including the thriller "Gurgaon" (2017), the horror film "Posham Pa" (2019), and the biographical film "Ghoomketu". She has also appeared in "Posham Pa" and continues to work in both film and television.

Beyond acting, Ragini Khanna has been a brand ambassador for several organizations, including "Beauty with Astrology," the science organization founded by her mother, and she serves as the brand ambassador for the early morning spiritual and wellness radio show "Seher" on 92.7 BIG FM.

In 2010, she was selected as a judge for Frito-Lay India's consumer campaign "Kurkure Spend Time with Family," and in 2011, she became the brand ambassador of the "Mix n Drink" campaign launched by Catch Foods. Her father Praveen Khanna died in October 2015.
