Raadhika Sarathkumar

Raadhika Sarathkumar (born 21 August 1963) is an Indian actress, film producer, entrepreneur, and politician known for her extensive work in Tamil and Telugu cinema, with additional contributions to Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films.

Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, she grew up in Chennai, India, and completed her education in both India and the United Kingdom.

She made her acting debut in 1978 with the Tamil film Kizhakke Pogum Rail, directed by Bharathiraja in his directorial debut, where she played the lead role. She emerged as a leading heroine during the 1980s and 1990s, acting alongside prominent heroes of the era including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mohan, Vijayakanth, and her husband R. Sarathkumar.

Her notable films include Enga Ooru Rasathi (1980), Keladi Kanmani (1990), Kaadhale Nimmadhi (1998), Roja Kootam (2002), Saguni (2012), Poojai (2014), Naanum Rowdydhaan (2015), Theri (2016), and Dhruva Natchathiram (2019). She has acted in more than 200 films across multiple languages.

Beyond acting, she is the founder of Radaan Mediaworks (I) Limited, a media company that has produced numerous successful television serials including Chithi, Selvi, and Arasi. She has also worked as a producer on films such as Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai (2016).

Her television work includes acting in and producing popular shows that have garnered significant viewership in Tamil Nadu.

She has been married to actor R. Sarathkumar since 2001. She was previously married twice: first to Malayali actor-director Pratap K. Pothan, and second to Richard Hardy, a British national, with whom she has a daughter named Rayanne Hardy. With R. Sarathkumar, she has a son named Rahul, born in 2004.

She has a younger sister named Nirosha (also known as Niroja), who is also an actress, and an older stepbrother named R. Radharavi. Her mother is Sri Lankan, and her father was the late Tamil actor and comedian Mohan R. Radha.

Throughout her career, she has received several awards for her performances in Tamil, Telugu, and other regional cinemas. She has also ventured into politics, representing her involvement in the political sphere alongside her entertainment and business pursuits.
