Pranutan Bahl

Pranutan Bahl (born 10 March 1993) is an Indian actress and professional lawyer who primarily works in Hindi films. Pranutan Bahl was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a prominent Bollywood family.

She is the daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl and actress Ekta Sohini (also referred to as Aarti Bahl in some sources). Her grandfather is actor Rajesh Bahl, and she is the granddaughter of the legendary actress Nutan, one of Hindi cinema's most celebrated performers. Through her mother's side, she is also the niece of actresses Kajol and Tanisha Mukherji, and the granddaughter of actress Tanuja.

Before entering films, she pursued law and became a professional lawyer. She qualified as a lawyer by profession but always aspired to be an actor, eventually balancing both careers.

She made her acting debut on television in 2016 when she appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show. Her feature film debut came in 2019 with Notebook, a Salman Khan-produced romantic drama in which she played the lead role opposite Zaheer Iqbal, another debutant. For her performance in Notebook, she received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Her subsequent film includes Helmet (2021), a comedy where she appeared alongside Aparshakti Khurana. She is also known for the film Coco & Nut.

Throughout her career, she has maintained her dual identity as both an actress and a practicing lawyer. She primarily works in Hindi cinema and continues to be recognized for her debut performance in Notebook, which earned her critical acknowledgment despite the film's commercial performance.
