Juhi Chawla, born on 13th November 1967, is an Indian actress who has left an indelible mark in the Bollywood industry. She is also a film producer, entrepreneur, and social activist. Recognized for her comic timing and vivacious on-screen persona, she has received several accolades, including two Filmfare Awards.

Juhi Chawla's career took off after winning the Miss India beauty pageant in 1984. She made her acting debut with Sultanat in 1986. Her first commercial success was the blockbuster Kannada film Premaloka (1987). She won the Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year and received a nomination for Filmfare Best Actress Award, for the critical and commercial success Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), which also established her as an overnight star.

She rose to prominence with films like Amar Prem (1989), Vicky Daada (1989), Love Love Love (1989), Pratibandh (1990), Swarg (1990), Benaam Badsha (1991), Bol Radha Bol (1992) and Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992). By 1993, she had become one of the most successful stars of Bollywood, by appearing in Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), which established her as a comic actress and for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

Juhi Chawla has worked in a variety of movies spanning different genres and languages. Some of her notable works include Darr (1993), Yes Boss (1997), Ishq (1997), Mr and Mrs Khiladi (1997), Duplicate (1998), and Arjun Pandit (1999). She has also starred in several Punjabi films, including the biopics Shaheed Udham Singh (2000), Des Hoyaa Pardes (2004), Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waaris (2006) and Sukhmani – Hope for Life (2010).

Juhi Chawla has been honored with numerous awards throughout her career. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1989) and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993). She also won the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2004.

Juhi Chawla is married to industrialist Jay Mehta since 1995. They have two children together. Their relationship blossomed from friendship to love during a difficult time in Jay's life, when he lost his first wife. Juhi was a pillar of strength for Jay during this time, and their bond deepened.

Juhi Chawla leads a luxurious lifestyle. She resides in a multi-storey house at Mumbai's Malabar Hills with her husband and children. The house is beautifully designed, with a Moroccan-themed terrace offering a stunning view of Marine Drive. She is also the co-owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders.
