Born on September 26, 1962, Archana Puran Singh started her career in the entertainment industry as a model at the age of 20. She made her film debut with Nari Hira's TV movie "Abhishek" opposite Aditya Pancholi in 1987. Despite having a limited role of 10 seconds in her next film "Nikaah" (1982), Archana got noticed. Her first lead role was in the film "Jalwa" (1987) opposite Naseeruddin Shah.

Archana Puran Singh has been featured in more than 100 films. She is known for her comedy roles in several Bollywood movies. Some of her notable films include "Agneepath" (1990), "Saudagar" (1991), "Shola aur Shabnam" (1992), "Aashiq Awara" (1993), "Raja Hindustani" (1996), "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (1998), "Mohabbatein" (2000), "Krrish" (2006), and "Bol Bachchan" (2012).

Archana Puran Singh also made a significant impact on television. She became a television anchor with "Wah, Kya Scene Hai" on Zee TV in 1993. She later acted in "Shrimaan Shrimati", "Junoon" and hosted "Archana Talkies" on Sony Entertainment Television. In 2007, she became a judge of the popular comedy reality show "Comedy Circus", and she went on to judge several seasons of the show. In 2019, she entered as the judge in "The Kapil Sharma Show".
