Divyang Thakkar

Divyang Thakkar is an Indian actor, screenwriter, and film director who works primarily in Gujarati and Hindi films. He was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, not Gujarat as some sources mistakenly claim.

He studied filmmaking at Whistling Woods International Institute in Mumbai. He made his acting debut in the 2012 satire "Kevi Rite Jaish," directed by Abhishek Jain. The film was both a critical and commercial success, and Divyang received the Gujarat State Award for Best Actor for his performance in this film.

He later reunited with director Abhishek Jain for "Bey Yaar" (2015), which also achieved critical and commercial success.

In addition to his film work, he acted as one of the six leads in the ALTBalaji web series "Boygiri" (2017). He has also worked in many Gujarati TV shows and theatre productions. At the age of 17, Divyang started working as a theatre artist and has performed in many Gujarati theatre plays.

In 2022, he turned writer-director for Yash Raj Films with "Jayeshbhai Jordaar," starring Ranveer Singh. He is also known for working on an untitled Aamir Khan/Rajkumar Hirani movie.

Divyang Thakkar got married in 2017 to fellow actor Veronica Gautam, and both were part of the movie "Kevi Rite Jaish" which released in 2012. His obsession for acting started when he was young and used to watch plays with his family.
