Avinash Kamalakar Dixit is an eminent economist and scholar known for his significant contributions to the field of economics and game theory. He was born on August 6, 1944, in Bombay, British India (now Mumbai, India). Dixit has held prestigious positions at various universities and institutions around the world. Dixit earned his Bachelor's degree from Bombay University and then pursued his higher studies in economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
