Arvind Panagariya earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Rajasthan University and went on to pursue a Master's degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. He later obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University in the United States. He started his academic career at the University of Maryland, where he taught economics and held important administrative positions. Later, he became a professor of economics at Columbia University in the United States, where he continued his research and teaching for many years.
