Narayanan Krishnan

Narayanan Krishnan is an Indian social entrepreneur and chef, best known for his selfless dedication to feeding the homeless and destitute in India. He was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, and his culinary journey began as a chef working in a prestigious hotel in Bangalore. However, in 2002, Narayanan Krishnan's life took a profound turn when he encountered a homeless man eating his own waste due to hunger. In 2003, Krishnan founded the nonprofit organization Akshaya Trust, named after the Indian goddess of abundance.
