She first gained prominence in archery during her school years at the Rural Development Foundation's Kalleda Rural School in Warangal District, Telangana. Her early foray into archery led her to win a bronze medal at the National Sub-Junior Archery Championships in 2004, which subsequently earned her admission to the prestigious Tata Archery Academy in Jamshedpur.
