Biswajit Chatterjee

Biswajit Chatterjee (born 14 December 1936) is an Indian film actor, producer, director and singer who worked predominantly in Bengali and Hindi cinema.

He rose to prominence in the 1960s as a romantic lead in Hindi films and as a leading actor in Bengali movies, and his career has spanned several decades during which he appeared in more than a hundred films.

Biswajit Chatterjee was born on 14 December 1936 in Calcutta (now Kolkata), Bengal Presidency, British India. From an early age he showed an interest in performance and music, which later informed his work as an actor and occasional playback singer.
